Introducing Radicept: compliance, intelligently engineered

Why we built an India-hosted, statute-grounded AI to make DPDP compliance fast, consistent, and — above all — provable.

India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act put every company that touches personal data on a regulatory clock — with penalties reaching ₹250 crore. Yet most DPDP work still runs on spreadsheets, email threads, and PDFs. It is slow, expensive, and almost impossible to prove after the fact.

We built Radicept to change that.

The problem with the alternatives

There are really only three ways teams approach this today, and each hits a wall:

  • Spreadsheets and consultants burn weeks of senior-lawyer time and don’t scale beyond a handful of engagements.
  • Generic GRC platforms are checklist trackers. They never actually read your documents.
  • General AI chatbots hallucinate the law and send your data offshore — disqualifying for a statute built around data residency.

What Radicept does

Radicept reads, maps, and drafts — and leaves the judgment to you.

An India-hosted AI ingests your questionnaire answers and documents (even scanned, image-only PDFs), builds a data map, and maps each activity against the frameworks that span India’s data-protection laws and acts. Gaps become findings. A lawyer confirms, edits, or overrides only where it matters, and Radicept produces a board-ready report alongside a dated evidence snapshot.

Trustworthy by construction

The hard part isn’t generating text — it’s being right, and being able to prove it. So Radicept is grounded, not generative: a cited provision is checked against the statute corpus, and one that does not resolve abstains rather than being presented as a confident answer. It’s hybrid, not black-box: deterministic rules, retrieval and an LLM cross-check one another. Inference is pinned to an India region, and Aadhaar and PAN are redacted from model prompts.

And it is built to be provable. A hash-chained, append-only audit log is enforced in the database, the AI’s verdict is recorded before any human override, and dated evidence snapshots capture the material behind your posture — the record you need when a regulator asks.

Radicept is live in production today at app.radicept.com. This is the beginning of the system of record for proving you complied.
